MDLIVE is a telehealth platform that connects you with board-certified doctors, licensed therapists, and board-certified psychiatrists via phone or video. We offer Urgent Care, Primary Care, Mental Health, and Dermatology services — available 24/7/365 from wherever you are in the U.S. and Puerto Rico.

MDLIVE is designed for non-emergency medical and mental health conditions. For life-threatening emergencies such as chest pain, difficulty breathing, severe bleeding, or signs of stroke, please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room immediately. MDLIVE treats 80+ non-emergency urgent care conditions, manages chronic conditions through primary care, and provides therapy and psychiatry for mental health needs. Our dermatologists treat 15+ skin, hair, and nail conditions via our asynchronous photo-based model.

Creating an account is free and takes just a few minutes. Visit mdlnext.mdlive.com/create-account or click "Create my account" in the top navigation. You'll complete three steps: 1. Create your account (email, password, date of birth) 2. Complete your profile (personal and health information) 3. Check your coverage (insurance or employer verification) Once your account is created, you can book appointments immediately.

Without insurance, MDLIVE offers transparent self-pay pricing: • Urgent Care: up to $89 per visit • Primary Care (Wellness Screening): pricing varies by plan • Therapy (Initial): up to $179; follow-up: $140 • Psychiatry (Initial): up to $299; follow-up: $159 • Dermatology: up to $95 per consultation Your exact price is always shown upfront before you book — no surprise costs.

MDLIVE works with many major insurance plans, including Cigna, Humana, BlueCross BlueShield, Aetna, and more. More than 60 million people have MDLIVE as part of their health insurance benefit. To verify your coverage, create a free account and complete the "Check Coverage" step. Your applicable copay amount will be displayed before you book any appointment — so you always know your cost upfront. Note: Not all insurance plans cover all MDLIVE services. Coverage depends on your specific plan.

Yes. MDLIVE doctors can prescribe medication when clinically appropriate. Prescriptions are sent directly to your pharmacy of choice. However, MDLIVE providers cannot prescribe controlled substances (narcotics, stimulants, or anxiolytics). For COVID-19, MDLIVE can prescribe Paxlovid for eligible adults 18+. Anti-obesity medications may be available through Primary Care Routine Care visits at the doctor's discretion, but are excluded in certain states (FL, LA, MS, NJ).

You can add dependents (children or other family members) to your account after signing in. Navigate to Account Settings > Dependents and click "Add dependent." You'll need to provide the dependent's name, date of birth, relationship, and gender. Once added, you can schedule appointments on their behalf.

On the sign-in page at mdlnext.mdlive.com/sign-in, click "Forgot username or password" below the Continue button. Enter your registered email address and we'll send you a password reset link. The link expires after 24 hours. If you don't receive the email within a few minutes, check your spam folder.

Mental health appointments are scheduled based on provider availability. Evening and weekend appointments are available to fit your schedule. For therapy, you can often get an appointment within a few days. Psychiatry appointments may take longer due to higher demand. Once you establish care with a therapist or psychiatrist, you can request to continue seeing the same provider for continuity of care.

MDLIVE Dermatology uses an asynchronous model — no live visit required: 1. Answer clinical questions about your skin condition online 2. Upload clear photos of the affected area 3. A board-certified dermatologist reviews your case and provides a diagnosis within 24–72 hours (typically within 24 hours) 4. Your treatment plan and prescription (if needed) are sent to you 5. You have 30-day follow-up messaging with your dermatologist at no extra cost 90% of patients resolve their condition after just one consultation.

For video visits, you'll need: • A device with a camera and microphone (smartphone, tablet, laptop, or desktop with webcam) • A stable internet connection (high-speed recommended) • A modern web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge) For mobile access, download the MDLIVE app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. For Windows: Windows 7 or later. For Mac: OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) or later. ASL interpretation and live captioning are available on the web portal only (not the mobile app) and must be requested at least 48 hours in advance.

Yes. MDLIVE is fully HIPAA-compliant. Your health information is encrypted and securely stored. We only share your information with your treating providers and as required by law. MDLIVE is accredited by the American Telemedicine Association (ATA) and holds two certifications from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). Cancellation fees apply in certain situations: • Mental Health appointments: $50 fee if cancelled within 24 hours • Wellness visits: $25 fee if cancelled within 24 hours • Routine Care: $25 fee if cancelled within 2 hours Cancellation fees are automatically waived for Medicaid/Medicare members and in cases of documented emergency or technical difficulty. To cancel, sign in to your account, navigate to Appointments, and select Cancel.
